“The best way we can deliver fresh, high-quality gaming experiences is by working with the best talent. Toys R Us’ buy 2 get 1 free deal is ending on October 16, but a similar sale at GameStop will be available starting tomorrow. Although they’re nearly identical, in the case of GameStop, consumers can only choose from used games and accessories. If you can’t wait, you can shop online and take advantage of the deal by entering the code “b2g1free.” It’s unclear when the offer ends, so it’d be wise to purchase any games you’re interested in soon.

On Tuesday, a message was posted on the official Saints Row Twitter account, which hinted that some sort of news about the series would soon be revealed. Unfortunately, as it turns out, it was just a giveaway. Today’s the two year anniversary of Saints Row 2, so THQ is celebrating the event by offering a fans a chance to win memorabilia relating to the game. This is a bit of a disappointment since I thought it was very possible that we’d hear something about Saints Row: Drive By, but hopefully THQ will have something to share in the near future.

In an announcement that has succeeded in destroying everything gamers hold dear, NPD announced that they will no longer release monthly sales figures for games and consoles, instead limiting it to a list of Top 10 software and Top 5 hardware, with no specific numbers attached to the lists.

The end is nigh! How will we know who’s winning the console wars and by how much!?

In August, it was reported that 25 employees from n-Space were laid off as a result of “momentary reduced demand.” It seemed like the company would be able to rebound in due time, but a rumor recently popped up claiming that the studio would soon be closing its doors. n-Space has since responded to the speculation, and while they admitted they are facing some issues, a statement posted on Facebook says that they are “down, but definitely not out.” We technically still don’t know what’s happening with n-Space, but let’s hope this isn’t the beginning of the company’s existence.

Update: In case there was any doubt, we’ve added the flier to this post. As has become an annual event, Toys R Us will be holing a “buy 2 get 1 free” sale on video game titles starting this weekend. Gamers will have until October 16 to take advantage of the deal. We’ve posted a few details from last year’s sale below, which will most likely apply this year as well. – This deal includes all accessories – Because they are considered to be gift cards, new point cards are not included in the sale (unless they come in some sort of bundle packs) – Unfortunately, the deal is only for residents of the United States – Check your local store regarding preorders – There may be a chance to preorder certain games at the register – You can take advantage of the deal numerous times (meaning you can have another order of three games) – If the game has been opened, you can only return the original purchase for the same title – Bundles should be included in the deal Source
