Nintendo and Masahiro Sakurai have put out yet another screenshot from Super Smash Bros. Wii U today, but this one’s a bit special. The image shows what appears to be a brand new stage featuring Pilotwings.

Sakurai unfortunately didn’t say much on Miiverse. Along with the image, he simply wrote: “This island looks familiar!”

Following several teases from Ed Boon, NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. are finally ready to unveil the next character DLC for Injustice: Gods Among Us. We’re just a few days away from an announcement. Boon confirmed on Twitter that news is coming this week, but didn’t say exactly when.

Platinum Games has worked on several projects in the past, but Bayonetta 2 marks the studio’s first sequel. Although this does bring about a certain amount of pressure, producer Atsushi Inaba says he and the rest of his team “welcome the challenge to outdo the first one.”

As reported in the September 2013 issue of GamesMaster:

“Come to think about it, this is the first sequel that we’re working on. And we’re happy to have the opportunity to make any game, but… we welcome the challenge to outdo the first one.”

Bayonetta 2 will be out on Wii U sometime next year.

When Circle Entertainment presented its 2013 lineup several months ago, the company included a 3DS eShop game called “Wakedas”. We haven’t seen or heard anything about it, but a release appears to be on the horizon.

Writing on Twitter, Circle Entertainment said that Wakedas has been approved by Nintendo of America. Its launch is likely coming “soon”.
