Is the Wii U a next-gen console? Some will say yes, others will say no. This is a topic that has been debated since Nintendo announced the console at E3 2011, and will likely be a point of discussion in the future.

A few developers offered some insight regarding the next-gen nature of Wii U and its potential in the latest issue of GamesMaster. Below you’ll find comments from Ubisoft’s Gabrielle Shrager, Mass Effect 3’s external producer, and more.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s first downloadable content may have been leaked. Titled “Revolution”, the pack will contain four maps and one new weapon – Hydro, Grind, Downhill and Mirage areas, along with the Peacekeeper SMG (Sub-Machine Gun).

The image above popped up on the official Call of Duty forums. As of now, Activision has yet to confirm the DLC’s validity. Be on the lookout for updates.

Gunman Clive has a few glitches. A number of users have encountered crashes with the game’s second boss, and there are other issues that need to be addressed.

Thankfully, developer Bertil Hörberg is in the process of addressing the problems. There isn’t an immediate fix in the works, but players should know that an update will likely be coming in the future.

“As I suspected, the train boss bug is a command buffer overflow, which should be easy enough to fix. There’s a few other issues I need to look into as well and then there’s the whole process of releasing a patch/update that I haven’t really [sic] looked into yet. It could take a while, especially during the holidays. In the meantime you should be able to avoid any risk of running into the bug by turning off 3D during that fight, as there’s only about half the render commands in 2D.”

Gunman Clive came out on the European 3DS eShop on December 20. It’s due out this Thursday in North America.

Rather than a new 3DS, one boy from Talladega received a box full of rocks on Christmas. His mother purchased the system from Wal-Mart, but did not check the product to see if the system was inside. When the boy opened the product, he found the rocks wrapped in tissue paper.

Does this story sound familiar? Almost the same exact situation occurred in 2009 – also with Wal-Mart, but with a DS instead.

But Austin, what am I about to watch!?

I have quite a history of starting “weekly segments” on NintendoEverything, only to do them for a few weeks and then stop doing them forever after that. I don’t know yet if this is going to be one of those things, but depending on how you guys feel about it we should most definitely see another one next week at least!

But what is it?

Well, “Two People Playin’ Games” is an idea that people have been bugging me about for a while, asking me to do “Let’s Play” videos or walkthrough-esque tutorials of various video games. The thing is, I’m not a huge fan of regular old “Let’s Play”s, and walkthroughs are just long and boring and take all the fun out of playing the game in the first place! So what is my solution?

Think of “Two People Playin’ Games” as a sort of “Let’s Play” for people who don’t have several hours to sit around watching Youtube videos. It’s a collection of moments from a playthrough of a game, strung together as coherently as possible to give you guys and idea of what’s going on, and a reason to keep watching. I think we accomplished that pretty well with this first video, even if it did have its ups and downs! Without too much explanation though, just watch the video. I think it’ll speak for itself.

Pokemon Black/White 2 have been out in Japan for many months now, but the game is still being promoted during Japanese television programming. A trailer shown for Black/White 2 contains a mysterious teaser, which states that some sort of big news is coming on January 8.

Will it be game related? Just a Wi-Fi event? Something related to a movie? Who knows! If the tease turns out to be a new game reveal, you can be sure that we’ll have the announcement right here on the site.
