Capcom has no plans to re-release Tatsunoko vs. Capcom digitally

You know what would be neat? If Wii games were available through the Wii U eShop. Like Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, maybe.
But there isn’t a way to grab digital Wii games in any form – meaning that a digital re-release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is out of the question.
Even if it were possible, the previous agreement would need to be amended or a new one would need to be created, according to Capcom’s Christian Svensson who commented on the situation a couple of months ago:
“There’s no plans I’m aware of and as you point it, it would mean Capcom Japan amending the prior agreement or creating a new one as well as potentially new development, unless Nintendo at some point has plans to release Wii ISOs digitally (which I’m not aware of happening).”
A quick glance at Amazon shows that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is available at retail for around $25. If you haven’t already purchased the game, that’s not a bad price!

Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Since Shadow of the Eternals’ leak, Precursor Games has shared a few, official details about its game.
The crowdfunding campaign will officially begin on Monday. Precursor will be looking to raise $1.5 million – not $1.1 million as originally thought – for a total of 12 episodes. Numerous stretch goals will be included.
Precursor’s “primary goal for Shadow of the Eternals is to raise 1.5M dollars. Any money raised beyond this will contribute to stretch goals that go beyond the first episode, including future episodes, additional characters, additional platforms and in-game perks. The more money that we raise, the more we can deliver, which is a win for everyone.”

Wii Fit U trademark abandoned, but probably doesn’t mean much
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
In news that probably doesn’t matter, the Wii Fit U trademark was abandoned in the US late last month. Nintendo failed to response/had a late response with the USPTO. The new response deadline should be set around late May.
Honestly, this isn’t something to get worked up about. While it’s an interesting discovery, I think we all know that Wii Fit U won’t be ditched.

Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Podcast Stories, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Update: Not all information discovered through the site leak was accurate, but it sounds like quite a bit was. Official details here.
A pulled test page on Precursor Games’ website has revealed the first details about Shadow of the Eternals, where it goes by the earlier name Shadow of the Ancients.
Shadow of the Eternals is coming to both Wii U and PC. A release is planned for the fourth quarter of 2014, according to the FAQ portion of the page.
Fans can expect an action-adventure experience with horror elements mixed in. It’s strictly a single-player experience – a note reads:
“We believe that single player games are very much alive in this industry, and present a cinematic experience to the gamer unlike any other.”

Maybe these trademarks are for some Guild03 games
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS eShop, News | 0 comments
Level-5 registered three new trademarks that may hint at a third round of Guild03 games. “Wonderflick”, “Retro Drop Adventurer Note”, and “Earth Devastating B-rank Girlfriend” were all picked up in Japan.
The Guild titles tend to have unusual names. You could say the same about these three trademarks as well. So perhaps we’ll be seeing even more Guild releases? Level-5 does seem to be interested in continuing the franchise.
