At the end of June, a selection of songs will be removed from the Rock Band Music Store. This is because some licences for Rock Band DLC are expiring.

The following songs will be taken down on June 30:

Tokio Hotel – “Monsoon”
Die Toten Hosen – “Hier Kommt Alex”
Les Wampas – “Manu Chao”
Them Terribles – “Bullets & Guns”
The Material – “Moving to Seattle”
Crooked X – “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dream”
Vesuvius – “Promised Land”

Those who have purchased any of the songs above after the aforementioned date will still be able to access them through the library.

Have you ever played the “Test Your Might” bonus game in Mortal Kombat? I haven’t, but apparently a couple of guy are trying to get a game on 3DS eShop based heavily around that type of mode, allowing players to memorize button combinations and timing-based actions to break a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and stone. The team has started a Kickstarter for the project, and are asking for $3,000 to secure publication on the platform with rewards ranging from copies of the game to shirts and posters.

You can find their Kickstarter here.

Toki Tori 2 isn’t just on sale in Europe. Two Tribes discounted the downloadable title on the North American Wii U eShop today as well. Toki Tori 2 is available for $11.24 until June 6.

Gateway is claiming to have the first working 3DS flashcart up and running. As demonstrated in the video above, this makes it possible to run 3DS titles through microSD cards.

“The GATEWAY 3DS TEAM proudly presents the first ever video proof that many thought impossible. Below we show an unedited video of the device booting 3 different backed up 3DS ROMS consecutively which are loaded on the GATEWAY 3DS device via microSD cards. We hope you are as excited as we are! “

This could potentially cause problems in the world of piracy. I’m sure Nintendo will be doing everything in its power to crack down on Gateway’s plans and similar ideas.

Vigil had plenty of ideas for a third Darksiders game. Primarily, the team had kicked around the idea of making a four-player co-op game with all four Horsemen. Darksiders I and II let players take control of War and Death respectively.

Former Vigil creative director Joe Madureira told IGN:

“It was always our hope to do a full four-player co-op game, with all four Horsemen playable. It’s possible we could have pulled it off. I would have liked to introduce Fury and Strife. I know many fans feel robbed that they never got to play the last two Horsemen.”

“E3Insider”, the official “hub” of the expo, has mentioned Call of Duty: Ghosts for Wii U.

Activision has flat out refused to confirm the first-person shooter for the console, despite the fact that all other versions of the game have been announced – including next-gen platforms.

The E3Insider site lists Wii U alongside the previously confirmed PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC versions.
