Zelda: A Link to the Past overworld layouts compared

Nintendo announced a new Zelda title for the 3DS today, which is pretty much a sequel to A Link to the Past.
The two games really are quite similar – especially in terms of their overworld layouts. Based on footage provided by Nintendo, fans have managed to compile and compare maps from the original SNES game and the 3DS follow-up.

Europe gets Bravely Default, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy this year

Bravely Default and Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy are coming to both North America and Europe. But whereas the US will be forced to wait until next year to play these titles, Europe will be receiving them later this year.
Release dates haven’t been announced for either title at this point. But man, you Europeans are quite lucky in this case!
Reggie on 3DS digital success, sales, more Wii U software launches as Nintendo prepares for E3, focusing on games, Amazon situation

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime commented on a whole bunch of interesting topics while speaking with the media today.
Most items revolved around the 3DS – including the success of digital sales, sales milestones, and the eShop – but Reggie also commented a bit on the Wii U, Nintendo’s focus on titles as opposed to non-gaming entertainment, and the company’s situation with Amazon.

Square Enix registers Millennium Hero and Hagun Student Council trademarks in Japan

In Japan, Square Enix registered a couple of new trademarks. The first is Millennium Hero – different from Atlus’ Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl. Square Enix also picked up a trademark for Hagun Student Council.
If Square Enix intends to use both trademarks, it’s unclear how they’ll fit into the company’s future.
