EA finally announced FIFA 14 today. After the company put out a fairly good experience in FIFA 13 for the Wii U launch, one would think that the team would take the time to implement all features found in the other console versions and come back with a new release for the console this year. So far, that isn’t the case.

FIFA 14 has been officially confirmed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Wii U was nowhere to be found in the company’s announcement.

An EA representative did tell ONM the following, however:

“At present we are only revealing PS3, Xbox 360 and PC but additional formats will be revealed in the months ahead.”

Could this mean that a Wii U version is in the works? Or is EA alluding to next-gen versions…?

Warner Bros. published Injustice: Gods Among Us for iOS alongside the main console versions. By taking advantage of the iOS release in conjunction with the core game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, users can unlock content in both. Unfortunately, no such functionality is included with the Wii U version.

That’s not the only discouraging news when it comes to Injustice: Gods Among Us on Wii U. There’s absolutely no mention of downloadable content in the actual game or on the eShop. Is this yet another element missing from the Wii U version?

In addition to the Nintendo 3DS Directs set to be presented in North America and Europe tomorrow, Japan will be receiving its own broadcast. Nintendo has announced a “Nintendo Direct Luigi Special 2” for the country, which will be streamed at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT – the same time as the other Nintendo Direct streams.

Whereas the North American and European presentations appear to be mostly 3DS-focused, the Japanese Nintendo Direct will incorporate Wii U content. And speaking of Wii U, Nintendo has confirmed that the console’s big update will be going live next week. More information about this will be included in the Nintendo Direct.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories maker Climax Studios is working with the Wii U. While there haven’t been any confirmed projects, the company’s website states that Wii U is a platform that the team is involved with. Maybe we’ll hear something soon?
