Starting Nov. 23, a limited-edition version of the Flame Red Nintendo 3DS will come with Super Mario 3D Land pre-installed on the system. The bundle is offered at a suggested retail price of $169.99, providing an incredible value for holiday shoppers. If purchased separately, the system and the game would be offered at suggested retail prices of $169.99 and $39.99 respectively.

Since it launched, the Nintendo 3DS family of systems has sold nearly 6 million in the United States alone. The portable dual-screen system lets users see 3D images without the use of special glasses, while providing them with a wide variety of gaming and entertainment options. Wii U owners who had been hoping they’d be able to log into their Nintendo Network accounts on a different console will be disappointed. The ID can only be used on the original console where it was created.

As has been mentioned in the past, Nintendo has said that you’ll be able to access the account on other devices. This includes PCs and smartphones.

So this is an incredibly peculiar situation. One Wii U owner has seemingly obtained access to some sort of Wii U debug menu, and it contains rather interesting content.

From NeoGAF’s “Trike”:

Well, I was messing around in Miiverse trying to find out how the hell to do the initial set-up of my friends list to no avail. In doing so I accidentally found the “debug” menu on Miiverse. At first I thought, “Hey, neat!” thinking it was just a legit secret or something. I can even access something with the name “prototype” that seems to be the actual prototype Miiverse in Japanese. Apparently John Lennon is still alive and is posting on the Japanese Miiverse. Most buttons that I tried don’t work (Acid_Test?) so I thought, hay, maybe GAF could have fun with this or translate it. That is when I found the admin list.

At first it asked me to sign in, because my login information didn’t match. Then I pressed a button and it sent me to a list of admins anyway. They had buttons in the same row as the names, and I could “regenerate password” or “Delete Admin” or something along those lines. I didn’t do it it because I didn’t want to risk getting my god damn Wii U banned on day 1.

As shown in the gallery above, Trike even managed to come across a list that mentions “Yoshi’s Land Wii U”. Obviously that doesn’t confirm such a game – this is apparently just a debut menu – but man, again, this is all quite interesting…
