BURBANK, Calif. — (September 13, 2012) – Disney Interactive today announced that the highly-anticipated “Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two” video game will be available for Nintendo’s Wii U™ system this holiday season. Wii U players will experience their adventure through Wasteland, an alternate world filled with more than 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions, in HD graphics and enjoy enhanced game features.

“It’s exciting to bring Nintendo fans ‘Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two’ on Nintendo’s revolutionary new game system,” said Bill Roper, vice president and general manager of production, Disney Interactive. “The technological advances of the Wii U system have allowed us to enhance player direction and provide our fans with an immersive as well as unique gaming experience.”


SAN MATEO, Calif. — September 13, 2012 —Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that Monster Hunter™ 3 Ultimate will be launching on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS across Europe and North America in March 2013.

The popular fantasy action franchise Monster Hunter™ is now one of the most iconic gaming series in the world selling over 21 million copies worldwide since the series began in 2004. Players take on the role of a hunter and are sent to explore a settlement within the Monster Hunter universe, completing quests on their journey to seek and slay monsters while improving their skills and earning equipment upgrades. With many challenging monsters and over 200 quests, the latest edition to the series is set to be the most expansive offering to date.


Epic Mickey 2 will be coming to two Nintendo platforms.

The game was previously announced for Wii. Nintendo also confirmed at its New York City Wii U press conference that it will also be making its way to the upcoming console.


Activision just showed a highlight reel of games for Wii U, confirming a number of games for the platform.

007 Legends, Wipeout 3, and Transformers Prime are officially heading to the console. Also reconfirmed is Skylanders Giants, which was previously announced for the system at E3.


Thought you’d never see a Monster Hunter game outside of Japan again? Well, think again, because it has just been confirmed that Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, an enhanced version of the Wii’s Monster Hunter Tri, will see a western release on both the Wii U and 3DS consoles. The Wii U version will feature online multiplayer with the ability to transfer save data between the two versions. Finally the 3DS has transfarring!

The 3DS version, known as Monster Hunter Tri G in Japan, was initially released in Japan a year ago, but both versions of the game should be available in the US and Europe in March 2013.


Everyone might have been watching today’s (tonight’s?) Nintendo Direct for some solid information on the Wii U launch, but we also have confirmation from the European presentation that Shinen’s top-down shooter will be coming to the Wii U as a downloadable title. It will be headlining the console’s download-exclusive titles and launch alongside Toki Tori 2 and Trine 2: Director’s Cut.
