Cladun X3

Cladun X3 is in development for Switch, Nippon Ichi Software revealed today. The game is arriving on February 27, 2025 in Japan.

Cladun X3 is a customizable and flexible pixel art action RPG. This follows the 2010 game Cladun: This is an RPG, 2011 entry Cladun X2, and 2016 release Cladun Returms: This is Sengoku. The franchise is now appearing on a Nintendo platform for the first time.

Mortal Kombat 1 September 2024 update

Mortal Kombat 1 was given a new update today for September 2024. This ties in with the game’s new Khaos Reigns DLC.

Past updates have typically implemented balance adjustments, and there are a ton of those here. But there’s also new Arenas, new Arena Variants, Animalities, an Online Practice Mode, and more.

Lunar Remastered Collection

GungHo is bringing Lunar Remastered Collection to Switch, the company just announced. It will be available in Spring 2025.

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete – which both debuted on the SEGA CD roughly three decades ago – are both included in the package. The two titles feature updated graphics, sound, and new quality-of-life improvements.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver I & II Remastered

Today, Aspyr unveiled Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver I & II Remastered and it’s confirmed to be coming to Switch. A release is planned for December 10, 2024.

There was previously talk about this release after a statue was spotted at Comic-Con during the summer. Branding for Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver I & II Remastered was spotted at the time.

TMNT Shredder’s Revenge Radical Reptiles DLC Mondo Gecko Mona Lisa

September 24: There’s a huge surprise for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge fans today, as brand new Radical Reptiles DLC has just been revealed and released alongside a free update.

Mondo Gecko, the radical surfer and trusted friend to the Turtles plus physics student turned reptilian rapscallion Mona Lisa are now available.

Fear the Spotlight release date

Fear the Spotlight received its release date today. The game will launch for Switch on October 22, 2024, publisher Blumhouse Games and developer Cozy Game Pals announced.

Fear the Spotlight was originally confirmed for Switch back in June. The PS1-style survival horror game was not given a release window at the time.

LEGO Horizon Adventures release date

August 26: LEGO Horizon Adventures may now have a release date. PlayStation will need to confirm this officially, but it seems as though the game could be coming to Switch on November 14, 2024. We previously had a general Holiday 2024 launch window.

Reddit user foreveryoung1108 posted an image of what looks to be an advert of sorts from the PlayStation Store. The shot comes with the release date news, which will apply to the Switch version.

Fantasian Neo Dimension release date

Square Enix just gave a release date for Fantasian Neo Dimension. The title launches for Switch on December 5, 2024.

You may remember that Fantasian Neo Dimension was revealed for Switch during a Nintendo Direct earlier in the year. The game, which was originally released by Mistwalker on Apple Arcade, is now getting an upgraded version for consoles.

Hatch Tales delay August 2024

June 11: There’s been another update in the Hatch Tales saga, with the game experiencing another delay. Atooi now set a new release date of August 23, 2024.

Hatch Tales was most recently slated for March 28 of this year. However, it quietly slipped through the cracks. The title has been delayed multiple times and fans have been waiting for its launch for over six years, as it was previously funded in 2018 on Kickstarter.

In a statement, Atooi explained that it needs more time to finish up polishing. The studio noted how “many layers of iteration, polish, and bug squashing” are needed in order to provide “a high quality player experience”. 

Palia Autumn Awakening update 0.184

The next major update for Palia, “Autumn Awakening”, just released on Switch. This is also known as version 0.184.

The patch reintroduces the fan-favorite Maji Market plus the fall foliage in Kilima Village. Also included is the opening of the Halloween-seasonal Spooky Moon Store, another opportunity for players to collect even more Potato Pods, and more.
