For several years, Nintendo fans have been wondering if the next Call of Duty game will be released on the Wii. Activision is quick to confirm PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions, but since 2007 or so, it’s taken them until mid-late summer to confirm a Wii edition.

We’re in a unique situation this year. By the time Call of Duty: Black Ops II launches, the Wii U will probably be just about ready to hit store shelves. So will Black Ops II come to Nintendo’s new home console? Just the Wii? Both? Neither?

Most of those questions will be left unanswered until E3 (or later), but there is one sign that Black Ops II is in the works for Wii.

A sub-board for Black Ops II Wii has opened on the official Call of Duty forums. This doesn’t confirm anything completely, but you’d have to wonder why there would be such a category if the game wasn’t coming to Nintendo’s console.

This also makes us consider the possibility of Black Ops II for Wii U. Again, Activision probably won’t confirm/deny a version for Nintendo’s upcoming console until E3 or later.

Following last month’s announcement of Pokémon Conquest, Nintendo has revealed even more details about the new features available in the game, which launches for the Nintendo DS family of systems on June 18. Players can look forward to exploring the Ransei region and interacting with Pokémon in an entirely new way as they take on the role of a young Warlord who is linked with a Pokémon. Together they must set out to recruit Warrior allies to strengthen their growing kingdom. Developed by TECMO KOEI GAMES Co., Ltd., the game can also be played on the Nintendo 3DS system in 2D mode.

So… most of you won’t be able to understand one word in this video, but at least we can check out new footage.

Warren Spector believes that the Epic Mickey team created “the best looking Wii game ever”. He won’t try to push his opinion on anyone – that’s just the way he feels!

“As obnoxious as it sounds, I still think the first Mickey game was the best looking Wii game ever that anyone’s ever made so sue me. I love the way the game looks. I’m not saying anyone else has to agree, it’s just my opinion.”

That’s not all. Spector also thinks Epic Mickey “sounds better than any Wii game ever”. With Epic Mickey 2, Junction Point will be looking to push things even further.

According to Spector:

“I also think it sounds better than any Wii game ever [laughing] but you can always do better. We’re going to. When people see the 2D levels, the 2D side-scrolling levels in the new game I think they’re going to see that the team has taken those to a whole new level.”

Since the basics of Epic Mickey 2 have already been set in stone, his team will not be able to maintain a deeper focus on gameplay:

“We’ve already talked about camera and voice – of course we’re going to do better this time around – we built a studio and team, a world, a code base, a game engine, we established our relationships with everyone at Nintendo and Disney with the first game.

“This time around we know what the world is, we know who the characters are, we know what the gameplay is. What are paint and thinner for? We didn’t even know that when we started the first game. So I would hope that everything will be better this time around.”
