Over the past year, we’ve seen Nintendo partnering with a number of third-parties to distribute 3DS games in Europe. Resident Evil: Revelations, One Piece Unlimited Cruise Special, and Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure have all been published by Nintendo of Europe.
The latest third-party title to be distributed by NOE is Heroes of Ruin, which will launch on June 15. You can find the official announcement below.
25th April 2012 – Nintendo of Europe today announces that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Square Enix Europe, a leading publisher and distributor of video games, for the forthcoming game Heroes of Ruin, a brand new adventure created specifically for the Nintendo 3DS system. Under the terms of the agreement, Nintendo will be responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution of the game throughout EEA, Switzerland, Russia, Turkey and South Africa territories, with Square Enix Europe remaining as publisher. Heroes of Ruin will be released across Europe on 15th June this year.
Heroes of Ruin pushes social and online interaction to the forefront of gameplay through innovative use of the Nintendo 3DS hardware. Players can trade rare and powerful items through an in-game shop which has an inventory updated through creative use of StreetPass. Connect your 3DS console online to download fresh daily challenges which allow you to earn rewards as you play. Heroes can choose to take the battle to the next level by connecting locally or over the internet to fight alongside their friends in cooperative multiplayer.

Famitsu has another Capcom announcement up its sleeve
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News | 0 comments
The latest issue of Famitsu happened to reveal a new Monster Hunter puzzle spinoff for the PSP. While this probably wasn’t what most gamers were hoping for when we heard about the magazine’s teaser last week, Famitsu will have a chance to redeem itself soon.
A second Capcom teaser was found in the most recent edition of the publication, and it may be even more cryptic than the last. Five characters are displayed in Famitsu – that’s it.
I believe there isn’t a new issue of Famitsu during Golden Week, which begins in Japan on Sunday and lasts for several days. So we’ll probably have to wait two weeks to find out what the magazine is teasing.

3DS eShop receives a revamp

The 3DS eShop has seen its first significant change since it launched last year. Two shelves are now present on the touch screen, and the overall presentation is slightly different. The search mechanic is a bit new as well, with (what I believe are) a few new filters.
You’ll see the change in the eShop once you’ve applied the latest 3DS update. Your system will be upgraded to firmware 4.0, which includes folder functionality on the Home Menu.
