Level-5’s annual “Vision” is seeing a significant expansion this year. What was once a press-only affair is now a free event – called Level-5 World – for everyone to attend and try out some of the company’s future releases.

The Level-5 World teaser site is open, which you can access here. We’ll likely receive updates on Fantasy Life, Time Travelers, and perhaps even Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright.

Level-5 World will be taking place on October 15 and October 16.

Nintendo has finally opened their promised 3DS Ambassador support page to help consumers determine if they are eligible for the upcoming Ambassador program. Simply head on over to this site and enter your 3DS’ serial number on the input field. It can be found on the back of your handheld.

Despite Nintendo saying the contrary, do not include the last digit (the one inside a box) from the serial number. If you try it, it just won’t work. So save yourself the hassle and leave it out!

Ubisoft must really be loving Nintendo right about now. Thanks to the 3DS price drop, the third-party publisher has seen an “eight-fold” jump in European 3DS software sales. Ubisoft’s European marketing and sales director Geoffrey Sardin told GamesIndustry, “We are very pleased with the development.”

Talking specifically about Germany, Ubisoft’s Ralf Wirsing said that there has been a 700 per cent spike in German software sales since the system price drop.

An anonymous third-party publisher isn’t as pleased, though, and has expressed some caution. This publisher believes that the 3DS will be “dead” if it doesn’t sell well during the holidays.

“So far retail is not euphoric. The fact that 3DS-software is still treated with great caution in the initial and repeat orders, we see that retail waits for the commercial development. It will be important to watch 3DS when the big Nintendo-titles are out there on holiday season. If the machine does not sell then, it’s definitely dead.”

As is demonstrated in the video above, you can actually play Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection 3DS while the system is set upside down. I’m not sure if I’ve seen any other 3DS game do that!
