Things not looking good for possible Modern Warfare 3 Wii release

Activision hasn’t announced anything officially, so we can’t start calling for people’s heads just yet. This definitely isn’t a good sign, though… After releasing Black Ops on Wii last year, I have absolutely no idea why the company wouldn’t consider a Wii version of Modern Warfare 3. I’d love an explanation if this is true!
Nintendo UK: More surprises in store for Wii

This information comes from Nintendo UK marketing manager Rob Lowe…
“There are great new pieces of software launching this year such as Wii Play: Motion in June and Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword later on in 2011. Plus, there are plenty more surprises in store for 2012 from us – Wii has got a great future ahead of it. We just wanted to make sure that the appeal of Wii is as broad as possible, and the new Mario Kart bundle is designed to be a great value proposition to anyone who is interested in getting a Wii. With this specific campaign, we are targeting families with young kids looking to buy their first games console. This is a very large potential audience, and the new Mario Kart bundle will be the perfect proposition for them.”
Project Cafe won’t be out until April 2012 at the earliest, so Nintendo has one year year to fill with Wii software. And, personally, I think the console will arrive later in the year rather than earlier. There are only so many games Nintendo will localize (and let’s not forget about Japan who has had these titles for some time now), so Nintendo really should have at least a surprise or two in store for the Wii.
Rock Band Music Store update next week

Tecmo Koei wants to have games ready for Project Cafe launch

Tecmo Koei came right out of the gate with a launch title for the 3DS. According to CEO Yoichi Erikawa, the company would like to follow the same path with Project Cafe. Erikawa explained that hardware manufacturers rely on Tecmo Koei for launch titles, so the company hopes to have numerous games ready by the time Project Cafe releases.
