– Movement is restricted to a strict grid-based system

– Turn-based RPG
– Scissors-paper-rock system of red, blue and green magic
– Each enemy has a color, and so does each attack
– When you encounter a group of monsters in the labyrinth, the bottom screen of the 3DS displays the sequence of upcoming attacking turns, along with details of the monster you are currently targeting
– None of the four party members appear on screen
– Nor is the mysterious pale-haired girl who features in all the game’s trailers a party member
– The girl talks directly to the player
– Other party members talk to each other with lines of text

Nintendo has added a few new elements to the boxart. It now contains an ESRB rating (E10+, not T like Twilight Princess), a 25th Anniversary logo, and Wii MotionPlus icon.

Sony doesn’t believe 3DS and Vita will be directly competing

In an interview with Reuters Japan, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan president Hiroshi Kawano said that he does not believe the 3DS and Vita will be involved in direct competition. Kawano feels that both systems are quite different. In addition to different price points, they also have different looks. Kawano mentioned that there will be consumers who have just one of these two handhelds, though he doesn’t think potential buyers will compare the two.
