SpongeBob Dives into His First-Ever 3-D Adventure in THQ’s SpongeBob SquigglePants for Nintendo 3DS(TM)

Fans Can Expect Fast-Paced Action-Packed Fun, with SpongeBob and Friends in the World of Bikini Bottom

AGOURA HILLS, Calif., May 17, 2011 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Everyone’s favorite yellow sponge makes his Nintendo 3DS debut today in the wet and wacky video game adventure, SpongeBob SquigglePants.

On this brand-new system, the bubbly world of Bikini Bottom pops to life, giving fans an innovative experience with its vibrant, three-dimensional display. The Nintendo 3DS debut of SpongeBob SquigglePants comes just a month after the game was unveiled on the uDraw GameTabletTM for WiiTM.

This information comes from Project Ace’s Kazutoki Kono…

“As a member of Project Aces, I am overseeing the 3DS version of Ace Combat, but actually the 3DS version is being made by the handheld department that made Ace Combat X and Joint Assault. It has a different producer and director to Assault Horizon, so we can’t really go into details.”

Well, I’m not quite sure if this is a good or a bad thing. Joint Assault received a mixed reception, with criticisms on controls and the campaign.
