This information comes from Satoru Iwata, who was asked if Nintendo is still working on big titles for Wii and mentioned that there hasn’t been any talk about the Wii Vitality Sensor recently…

“Of course, we want to release original titles, but in order to release new games, we must continue developing them.”

Iwata noted that time is necessary to guarantee that a title will be of high-quality and that the obstacles for original projects are rather high. Furthermore, he explained that the company needs to balance what is “interesting” and “easy to understand.” Other than that, Iwata neglected to talk about the Wii Vitality Sensor, though you may remember that we came across the WiiRelax trademark, as well as a plethora of details.

Coming straight from our friends over at Cosmonaut Games is information regarding their latest game, the strategy/action title “Inkub”. According to Cosmonaut Game’s José Giacomelli, the game has passed its testing phase and should be available to download within a few weeks.

For those that aren’t aware, Cosmonaut Games is the same company behind the WiiWare title Dive: The Medes Island Secret, which I found fantastic as per my video review of the title. Keep it on your radar!

Okamiden will be released in North America on March 15, 2011 and March 18, 2011 in Europe.

This information comes from a Scribes update on Rare’s blog, and a fan asked if the company would make a Banjo-Kazooie game for the 3DS…

“Banjo-3DSie confirmed! Although by confirmed I do mean 100% utterly speculative. We haven’t done much in the handheld ’space’ since DKR DS and Pocket Paradise – could we dip our toes in again at some point? Possibly. 3DS? Not for me to say. Bandai WonderSwan? No.”

It has been awhile since Rare made a game for the DS, but Diddy Kong Racing and Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise were solid titles. It’d be interesting to see what the company would create for the 3DS…
