ACTIVISION INTRODUCES SHOOTIN’ FUN FOR EVERYONE WITH TOP SHOT ARCADE EXCLUSIVELY FOR Wii, COMING THIS MARCH

MINNEAPOLIS, MN –– FEBRUARY 17, 2011 – Activision Publishing, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) today announced that TOP SHOT ARCADE, a new arcade-style shooting experience developed exclusively for Wii™, will be available March 2011 . The game comes equipped with the TOP SHOT ELITE peripheral that features pump action reload and an adjustable stock to fit players of all ages and sizes. TOP SHOT ARCADE is designed to be the ultimate party game with four person head-to-head shooting action.

“Players will have a blast with friends and family in the wild, fun competition of an arcade shooting game in the comfort of their own home,” said David Oxford, Activision Publishing. “TOP SHOT ARCADE is packed with arcade style action and over the top humor to keep players high fiving and laughing!”

UK retailer GAME has managed to get their hands on a final, retail release of the 3DS. You can check out a bunch of unboxing photos above, but there is one image in particular that should be pointed out.

Of course, we know that six AR cards are bundled with the handheld. While most of the cards had been a mystery, the first photo above indicates that Mario, Link, Kirby, Samus, and Pikmin will be involved in the 3DS’ Augmented Reality functionality. Unfortunately, we don’t know much more than that. We’ll have to wait for additional information, so stay tuned!
