LEVEL review scores

Posted on 15 years ago by (@NE_Brian) in DS, News, Wii | 0 comments

The latest LEVEL review scores (Swedish magazine) are as follows:

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves: 10
Need for Speed: Shift: 8
Halo: ODST: 8
FIFA 10: 9
Scribblenauts: 7
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games: 5
Metroid Prime Trilogy: 9

Gran Turismo (PSP): 8
NHL 10: 8
Dead Space: Extraction: 7

Wet: 7
Contra Rebirth: 8
NBA Live 10: 6

Motorstorm: Artic Edge: 7
Colin McRae Dirt 2: 9

Consider the following scenario: You purchased a DSi on launch day. Then you bought a new DSi because it featured your favorite color. Now here’s the problem: You downloaded a bunch of DSiWare titles on your original system, but because of the most recent DSi you purchased, you are interested in playing those games on the new DSi.

Unfortunately, Nintendo of Australia is not willing to transfer titles between handhelds. The only way the request can be fulfilled is if a broken DSi is involved. You would also need to send in both systems. There’s no word yet if Nintendo of America and Europe maintain the same policy, although it’s more than likely that those Nintendo divisions would operate in a similar fashion.

Konami’s Exciting New Top-Down Racer Speeds Its Way to the Nintendo WiiTM
El Segundo, Calif – Sept. 28, 2009 – Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced that DRiiFT Mania is now available exclusively for Nintendo WiiWare™. Providing a fast-paced, multiplayer racing experience for Wii™ fans and racing enthusiasts alike, players can put the pedal to the medal in this new downloadable title.

In DRiiFT Mania, racers maintain pole position as they face up to eight drivers to determine who is king of the circuit. Players can choose from over 32 original vehicles from agile cars to powerful trucks, and race through 12 tracks based on various environments including hills, city, oasis and even snow. If racing in traditional Single Player Mode isn’t enough of a thrill, players can also engage in Multiplayer Championship or Team Race Mode to get their competitive spirits going, as well VIP, Meteorite, Cold Potato and Contamination Mode for extra racing fun.

Wii owners who wish to continue with homebrew may be interested in holding back on the latest system update. Upgrading to 4.2 will effectively kill the channel through deletion. According to Nintendo, menu 4.2 “provides behind-the-scene fixes that will not affect features but will improve the overall system performance,” but also warns that the update “will also check for and automatically remove such save data (unauthorized modifications to save data or program files) or program files.”

It should  be noted that this is the first time Nintendo has intentionally taken on the heart of homebrew. Although previous action was taken to disable homebrew installation, an update has never actually removed the channel.
