Hands-On Demos of Upcoming Games to be Available Exclusively at Retailer’s Bullseye Lounge

MINNEAPOLIS – May 29, 2009

Target and Ubisoft will come together at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, June 2–4, for an exclusive preview of the upcoming titles Press Your Luck™ 2010 and the all new The Price Is Right™ 2010. The games will be playable on the Wii™ system from Nintendo at the Target Bullseye Lounge, centrally located in the mezzanine between the main halls. E3 attendees will be the first to experience Ubisoft’s video game adaptations of the popular television game shows, which are produced by FremantleMedia North America. Created by Ludia Inc. and licensed by FremantleMedia Enterprises, these titles will be available on store shelves this fall.

“Ubisoft is always looking for creative ways to work with our retail partners and we are excited to extend our relationship with Target by being part of the Bullseye Lounge,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Ubisoft. “This is a great opportunity for media and industry influencers to see these new games in a unique and interactive setting.”

Last night, a report released by Nikkei said that a new Mario game would be hitting the Wii later this year. But could that be Shigeru Miyamoto’s big project to be unveiled at E3? On a recent episode of X-Play, Director of Gaming Editorial on G4TV.com, Billy Berghammer said that “something’s going on with” Miyamoto and that he is going to be interviewed during the show. That certainly makes it seem as though something important will be shared at E3.

“…The only other thing I will say though, is Miyamoto is going to be announcing something. We’re meeting with them during the show for an interview so I’m going to pretty much speculate that something’s going on with him. Either Mario or Zelda. Or he could be talking about the next Pikmin game which is also rumored…I still think there’s going to be a new Zelda.”

Small update: A few more details from the report below

– Compare weight/health with others in Wii Fit Plus
– Mario game will help bolster Wii sales

An article published by Japanese newspaper Nikkei is suggesting that a new Mario game is on the way. As far as the system it would be released for, however, no details were provided. The game is said to be releasing this year. Additionally, the article mentions that Wii Fit Plus will have some sort of online support in addition to improved accuracy. More details on the two titles may very well be released from Nintendo’s upcoming E3 conference.
