UK sales for February 2023

Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for February 2023.
Nintendo missed out on the top ten, though it’s unclear how Metroid Prime Remastered did since the company does not provide digital data. However, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe did appear at #11.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened release date set for April, new trailer

Frogwares has come forward with a final release date for Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened. The game has gone gold, and it’ll be heading to Switch on April 11, 2023.
Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened was first announced for Switch last August. Frogwares did hope to have things wrapped up by February / March, but the situation in Ukraine over the winter pushed it back a bit.
Dead in Vinland: True Viking Edition getting a physical release on Switch

Eastasiasoft announced today that it is working on a physical release of Dead in Vinland: True Viking Edition for Switch.
A standard edition is planned along with a collector’s edition. With the collector’s edition, fans will receive the game, manual, soundtrack CD, and numbered certificate in a special box.

Build-A-Bear reveals Growlithe plushie

Build-A-Bear is back with its latest Pokemon plushie, this time for Growlithe.
Fans can make a purchase online now. The Fire-type Pokemon, which has appeared since the first generation of games, has orange and black striped fur, a bushy tail, and fuzzy tufts of fur on its chest and head. It comes with an orange cape, PJ sleeper, and 5-in-1 sound chip.

Europe’s top 15 downloads on the Switch eShop for February 2023

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for February 2023.
Metroid Prime Remastered was a big surprise last month, and it managed to come out on top. Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe and Octopath Traveler II also appear in the top ten.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet reveal 7-star Tera Raid Battle event with Decidueye

Original (3/5): A new 7-star Tera Raid Battle event is on the way to Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet featuring Decidueye, it’s been announced. The creature’s first appearance was in Pokemon Sun and Moon as the final evolution for Rowlet.
The Decidueye here features the Flying Tera Type and the Mightiest Mark. Like other Tera Raids, you’ll partner with other Trainers to take it down.

Nintendo reveals new Mario Switch bundle

Original (3/2): Nintendo has announced a new Switch bundle centered around Mario just in time for MAR10 Day.
The package includes a system with red Joy-Con controllers, your choice of a free Mario full game download (a $59.99 value), and stickers from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Anyone that purchases the bundle can select one of the following games: Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, or New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Keep in mind that the Switch you’re getting here is the standard version – not the OLED model.
