It’s starting to sound like Nintendo is going crazy over the Wii U’s re-unveiling. There are reports that some journalists have been receiving phone calls from someone who says, “Do you know about Wii U? If not, you will.”

Completely random!

We’re ready, Nintendo. We’re really ready.

Last year, Nintendo’s E3 boxes were all the rage. Photos of these items were taken a couple of days before the Big N’s press conference, contribution to a rise in hype.

Good news, folks – the boxes are back! No, they really don’t show anything, but it’s still amusing. Plus, there’s a twist this year: there are Nintendo vehicles driving around Los Angeles!

It doesn’t get much more random than this!

One Chrono Trigger fan was intrigued by the idea of seeing the game’s Kingdom of Zeal locale recreated in 3D. And so this person used the art style from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker to realize his goal.

The results can be found above.

Details about the project can be found in the YouTube description here.

Sometimes fans make really awesome things. “Project M” is one such creation that is really worth checking out. It’s a fan-made Super Smash Bros. Brawl mod capable of adding new levels, changes in settings, and more.

The best part about it? You don’t have to modify your Wii at all. It doesn’t use the Homebrew Channel or anything else. As long as you have a copy of the game and an SD card, you should be good to go.

A Skyloft stage is included in the Project M 2.1 demo, which apparently just came out yesterday. You can see a video of the level above.

If you’re interested in Project M, you can download the latest demo version here.

As much as we’d like this to be real, it isn’t. Maybe we’ll see a real F-Zero trailer at E3 2012 if we’re lucky!

Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 was, as you would expect, only released for arcades. Now it appears someone has got it running on the Wii through homebrew.

Not the prettiest results, but you have to give these guys credit for their work… was probably just a rough import in any case!

A little bit of fan art for the weekend. deviantART user “jmatchead” describes his image as “an idea for how Kid Icarus’ comeback would have looked had Sakurai and HAL Labs. gotten their hands on it back in the day.”

Even though this is slightly creepy, it’s strangely amusing. Village People’s “Macho Man” is a surprisingly good fit for this video…

Enjoy this weekend’s randomocity!
