3DS

Update: Nintendo will release a new Mint X White 3DS XL color in Japan. Additionally, a Tomodachi Collection bundle will be available featuring the game pre-installed. This will launch on April 18 – the same day Tomodachi Collection releases.

Don’t you just love it when Nintendo Directs pop up out of nowhere?! This one isn’t major, but we’ll update this post with any important details as we get them.

Straight Right, the developer behind Mass Effect 3 on Wii U, would like to continue making games for the platform going forward. The studio also has interest in working with Nintendo’s other main system at the moment: the 3DS.

CEO Tom Crago said the following when discussing Straight Right’s future:

“We can’t talk about what we’re working on right now, but we certainly hope to be able to develop more titles for Wii U. On the subject of Nintendo platforms, we’re also really interested in the 3DS. It’d be fun to do something there in the next year or so too.”

We do know that Straight Right is porting a AAA Square Enix game to Wii U, which has long been rumored to be Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I wonder when the project will finally be announced…
