3DS

I still can’t believe this game is out, nor can I believe that I’ve already finished it! It seems just like yesterday when we heard about the game through a small leak on Nintendo’s E3 site. It was confirmed just a few hours later that the game was heading to 3DS.

It appears that one developer is already expressing significant concern about the 3DS’ sales situation at the moment. Zoe Mode’s, originally set to be released in September, seems to have been delayed. Studio head Paul Mottram said the following about their game and the 3DS overall:

“…now we’re finding that everyone is not knowing what platform is going to succeed – we did our first 3DS title – we got Crush onto that, but we had to delay the release of that because of the success of the platform.”

The thing that makes this confusing is that, as far as we know, the title is still due out in a couple of months. SEGA hasn’t announced a delay or new release date, but we’ll keep you informed about the situation.

I’m wondering when we’ll finally see some direct-feed footage of this game. I’m wondering how it looks in action!

If you’re sick of your 3DS for some reason and want something with a little more spice, you’d do well to sign up for Square Enix’s latest contest offering, which will allow one user to win a nice black version of the console branded with some one of a kind Heroes of Ruin artwork on the top, and the logo for the game on the inside.

Sounds like a pretty good piece of bragging material if you ask me! You can sign up here.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D probably isn’t the game most fans were expecting. What originally seemed like a full-on remake, set with a graphical overhaul, is turning out to be an enhanced port. That alone has caused the title to receive some negative attention, not to mention that it didn’t see the most glowing previews at E3.

There’s still time to work through the kinks. Hopefully the development team is taking criticism into consideration. Producer Yoshikazu Matsuhana has also said that Snake Eater 3 will feature “well-received elements from MGS4 and Peace Walker”.

“The player controls and some other well-received elements from MGS4 and Peace Walker have been implemented into the game. The camera from Subsistence has been adopted, as well as elements of the free roaming camera system that was implemented in MGS4 and Peace Walker.”
