Nintendo has set up a few opportunities for UK gamers to play the 3DS. A fan was able to test a number of the system’s features, including the ability to play DS games on the handheld.

– No visual enhancements of any kind while playing on the 3DS
– DS games fill both screens
– Boarders on the left and right sides for the top screen, no boarders on the touch screen
– There appears to be a blur filter for the DS games
– No options for DS games, so you can’t change the screen size
– 3DS/DS/DSi options for Download Play
– Will visit the DS/DSi Download play screen if you choose one of the DS options
– No multitasking when playing DS games (can return to the system menu, however)
