New details for Sonic Lost World for Wii U & Nintendo 3DS revealed
29th May 2013 – Following on from last week’s Nintendo Direct video announcement in which details of a worldwide partnership between SEGA & Nintendo were announced, Nintendo of Europe today reveals additional details of the second title to be published exclusively on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS as part of the three title deal. Sonic Lost World sees Sonic face his most powerful enemy to date – and this time there are six of them. Sonic Lost World will be available exclusively for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS later this year.
Dr. Eggman has harnessed the power of six menacing creatures known as the Deadly Six, but when the Deadly Six rise up against their master, Sonic has to unite with his arch nemesis in order to take on the new enemies head-to-head. Using his dynamic new parkour moves and improved Colour Powers, Sonic must run, jump and race through a variety of ever changing terrains in order to defeat the Deadly Six.

Level-5 wants to turn Fantasy Life into a million-seller in Japan
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Level-5 has big expectations for Fantasy Life. Speaking with Famitsu this week, president and CEO Akihiro Hino said that he’d like to turn the series into a million-seller in Japan.
He said:
“For me, Fantasy Life is a title I’m really glad we were able to make. Development on it was difficult and time-consuming, but seeing it be appreciated by everyone gives us the confidence to try creating new things. I’d like to see Fantasy Life grow into a series we can sell a million copies of [in Japan]; I think it’s one of the bigger success stories in our drive to take on new challenges, so I’d like to have the courage to connect it to the next thing.”
Level-5 has previously expressed interest in pursuing Fantasy Life further. An update for the 3DS game, known as Fantasy Life Link, is coming to Japan in July.

Rumor: Retro working on “new brand”
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Podcast Stories, Rumors, Wii U | 0 comments
E3 2013 may finally be where we are given a first look at Retro Studios’ Wii U game. Nothing is guaranteed, but Nintendo’s Hiro Yamada did tease last month that he “hope[s] to introduce it to you in the not so distant future.”
As far as what Retro is working on, that’s pretty much anyone’s guess. However, IGN’s Peer Schneider did offer up potential insight during a Nintendo Voice Chat” feature (24:17 mark).
He said, “I’ve heard rumors that Retro’s game is a new brand.”
This seems to imply that Retro is working on a new IP, but nothing is set in stone, and the wording is slightly nebulous. Here’s hoping that Nintendo will finally pull back the curtain on the company’s project next month.
