Earlier today, analyst Daniel Gibson at Macquarie Capital Securities Limited tweeted that a fire broke out at a Wii U assembly factory in Japan. Gibson mentioned that Nintendo would revise its shipping forecast as a result.

Nintendo has now officially responded to the situation, and it looks like the fire won’t have a major effect on production. The company said, “As of now, we see no impacts on our Wii U console production scheme”.

CVG reports that supply constraints have been an issue for the Big N thus far. Due to strong demand, many retailers already sold out of allocated stock.

Fortunately, it seems as though this latest development won’t negatively impact the Wii U production line.

Consumers will be able to purchase Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion through two different options. Disney Interactive officially confirmed at a recent event that the game will see a dual release at retail and on the 3DS eShop when it becomes available next month.

This news only applies to North America at the moment. Although it would certainly make sense, Disney hasn’t said if Power of Illusion will also be released on the European and Japanese eShops.
