Arc System Works making Family Go-Kart Racing 3D for the eShop
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Arc System Works created Family Go-Kart Racing for WiiWare a couple of years ago. The studio is working on a slightly similar project for the eShop.
The new game, titled “Family Go-Kart Racing 3D”, is a pure single-player experience. Eight characters, eight karts, and twelve courses will be included. It’ll also feature Grand Prix, Free Battle and Time Attack modes. Although there aren’t any multiplayer options, Time Attack will offer online leaderboards.
Family Go-Kart Racing 3D will be available in Japan on April 11 for 500 yen. An overseas release is probable.
LucasArts Wii U MMO listed on E3 2012 floor plan

You can currently view a tentative floor plan of E3 2012 on MapYourShow. It’s unclear how much if this final, but I assume that most exhibitors/products listed on the site will be at the big expo in June.
Interestingly, there’s an entry on MapYourShow for a LucasArts MMO on Wii U. Could this be a sign of what the company has in store for the platform? Or is it just an error?
The current floor plan can be found here.

Namco Bandai registers Project X Zone trademark
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Namco Bandai has picked up a new trademark for Project X Zone in Japan. That sort has a crossover feel to it (especially since it’s pronounced as Project Cross Zone).
Could this be the title of Namco Bandai, SEGA, and Capcom’s 3DS crossover project?

Xenoblade Chronicles director on small adjustments made to English version, more
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Xenoblade Chronicles executive director Tetsuya Takahashi has commented on a few topics pertaining to his game.
First up, Takahashi briefly discussed how Xenoblade’s development scale compares to his previous work:
“There’s no doubt that the scale of this project was large compared to past projects.”
Takahashi next talked about some of the small changes made to the overseas version of Xenoblade Chronicles. The team fixed a few bugs, adjusted the game balance slightly, and modified small portions of the written content in the game.
“We made some minor bug adjustments and revised some of the written content for localization. There were also some places where we made minor adjustments to the game balance, but none of the changes resulted in significant differences from the original (Japanese) version.”
Finally, Takahashi said that Xenoblade Chronicles may have some Western-esque influences, but believes “it has also undeniably inherited the DNA of Japanese RPGs.”
“I like Western game design a lot, so there were places where I referred to it without thinking about it. Xenoblade is not just influenced by Western game design; it has also undeniably inherited the DNA of Japanese RPGs.”
