Pac-Man Championship Edition retro demake in Namcot Collection was originally planned for 3DS, in the works for five years

Last week, a special bonus game was revealed for Namcot Collection. Those who purchase all ten games in the collection will receive a retro remake of Pac-Man Championship Edition from 2007.
M2, the studio behind the SEGA Ages games and 3D Classics titles is actually behind that version. Director Naoki Horii shared more about the project and said that it actually started out as a 3DS release. The team has ultimately been working on it for nearly five years.

Steampunk-inspired Metroidvania game SteamDolls: Order of Chaos coming to Switch

SteamDolls: Order of Chaos landed on Kickstarter this week, and has already gone well beyond its funding goal. The campaign is currently at more than $50,000 with over three weeks remaining. This success means we’ll be getting the game on Switch.
SteamDolls: Order of Chaos, which is made by The Shady Gentlemen and published by Top Hat Studios, is a steampunk-inspired Metroidvania game. David Hayter of Metal Gear Solid fame will be voicing main character The Whisper.

Dry Bowser (Gold) appears in Mario Kart Tour

Earlier today, Mario Kart Tour updated with a Gold Pipe featuring 50 things in it. Dry Bowser (Gold), Gold Egg, and Gold Crane make their debut. Gold drivers, karts, and gliders from past tours have returned as well.
For the high-end pulls, Gold Koopa (Freerunning), Dry Bones (Gold), and Dry Bowser (Gold) have an appearance rate of 0.6667 percent. The gliders Gold Glider, Gold Swooper, and Gold Crane also have the same appearance rate. As for karts, Gold Train and Gold Egg have an appearance rate of 1.0000 percent.
The Gold Pipe will be available in Mario Kart Tour until June 12.

Europe’s top 15 downloads on the Switch eShop for May 2020

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for May 2020.
This month, NBA 2K20 leads the way thanks to a big sale. We also see Minecraft Dungeons and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition appear for the first time at #3 and #10 respectively.

Nintendo talks adapting Animal Crossing for players around the world

Animal Crossing: New Horizons director Aya Kyogoku and producer Hisashi Nogami have talked about adapting the franchise for a global audience.
In an interview with Spanish outlet La Vanguardia, the developers were asked about Japanese customs like bug catching and how the team goes about making local customs into something that can be universal. The two said in response:
