Square Enix has provided new technical details about Octopath Traveler 0, and we now have confirmation regarding frame rate and resolution for the Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions. This comes from the official Japanese website.

For frame rate, expect things to be at up to 60 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2. The action is up to 30 FPS on the original Nintendo Switch.

Square Enix lineup Tokyo Game Show 2022

TGS 2025 is coming quick at the end of the month, and now Square Enix has unveiled its lineup for the show.

Most Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 games in the lineup will be available with hands on demos. The only titles for the platforms without demos will be Dragon Quest X Online, and Octopath Traveler 0.

Here is Square Enix’s full line up for TGS 2025:

The 2025 Tokyo Game Show is just within the month, and Arc System Works has now come forward with its lineup for the show.

Some Nintendo Switch titles will be at the event. The only Switch 2 title featured will be Dear me, I was…

The full Arc System Works TGS 2025 lineup is as follows:

The Nintendo Classics Switch Online app has now been updated, and new features have been added in. Note that you’ll need to download and install version 3.0.0.

The main addition is that button remapping is now supported. That means if you’re unhappy with the setup for a particular game, you can rearrange things to your heart’s content. Button mapping was added to the Nintendo Classics SNES app not too long ago as well.

Cronos: The New Dawn is almost here, and we now have a graphics comparison for the Nintendo Switch 2 and PS5 versions of the game.

It’s clear that certain changes were needed in order to get things up and running on Nintendo’s hardware. Both resolution and frame rate are lower on the system, which is to be expected. While it’s not 60 frames per second, an initial look seems to show that things are stable at 30 FPS on Nintendo Switch 2. Otherwise we also get a resolution of 1080p that’s upscaled.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land graphics comparison

Following the launch of Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Nintendo Switch 2, we have a new video comparison showing how it stacks up to the Switch 1 version.

There are definitely some extra bells and whistles on Nintendo Switch 2. Whereas the original game rate at 30 FPS, it’s now been bumped up to 60 on the new console – plus animations for distance enemies have seen a boost. There’s also a resolution increase for both docked and handheld modes.

Square Enix just came out with a new round of Octopath Traveler 0 details, which cover the Retribution Arc (story of revenge against those who destroyed the protagonist’s hometown), companions, and systems. We have new screenshots and art as well.
