Hogwarts Legacy confirmed to use DLSS on Nintendo Switch 2, more

Warner Bros. shared more details about the new Nintendo Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy this week, including confirmation that the game is using DLSS.
This marks the second game for the console confirmed to be making use of the tech. Previously, CD Projekt shared the same news about Cyberpunk 2077.
Nintendo will “consider” Switch 2 price adjustments depending on tariffs

Nintendo currently has a $450 price locked in for Switch 2, but depending on what happens with tariffs, it’s possible that there could be an adjustment.
President Shuntaro Furukawa was speaking about the situation during a briefing following the release of the company’s financial results today. He indicated that Nintendo will “consider” price adjustments assuming “tariffs changes significantly”.

Nintendo has come through with the latest update on its release schedule, which is shared for May 2025 via its financial results documents.
A few Nintendo Switch games are here – notably ones revealed at the end of March – but we also see first titles for Switch 2. That means Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, and more are present.

Nintendo has updated its privacy, and it includes a note that it “may collect, monitor and record audio and video of your chat sessions with other users to provide a safe and secure environment for certain of our services”.
This news comes ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, which includes the GameShare feature and ability to communicate with friends. Nintendo previously confirmed that the functionality includes a report feature.
Nintendo reveals full lineup of Switch 2 user icons, much more than Switch 1

In an update shared on the Nintendo Today app today, the lineup of user icons for Switch 2 was revealed.
Nintendo has confirmed that Switch 2 owners will be able to access 258 icons at the start. To compare, the current Nintendo Switch has 147. Needless to say, the lineup is much more extensive on its successor.

Cyberpunk 2077 dev says putting the whole game on Nintendo Switch 2 cartridge was the “right thing to do”

At least for the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, Cyberpunk 2077 is the only original third-party game that has everything on the cartridge. Many titles are opting to instead take advantage of game-key cards. That means you’re getting a cartridge, but you need to download all of the title’s data first before you can play it.
Jan Rosner, VP of business development at CD Projekt Red, has now spoken about the decision to have the entire Cyberpunk 2077 experience on the Nintendo Switch 2 cartridge. This follows the company’s approach with The Witcher 3 on Switch 1, which was also a full physical release.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are two parts of the overall reimagining for the PlayStation classic. A third piece to the trilogy is also in the works, but has yet to be shown in any form.

Accessories maker Genki has provided a statement responding to Nintendo’s recent Switch 2 lawsuit.
Over the weekend, we heard about Nintendo’s initial legal action. The company is going after Genki for the stunt it pulled at CES 2025, bringing a dummy model of the then-unannounced system to CES 2025.
