Disney Dreamlight Valley Thrills Frills update

April 29: Disney Dreamlight Valley is launching its big “Thrills & Frills” update this week, and we have the patch notes.

The update includes free content for everyone plus Act II of the A Rift in Time expansion pass. Highlights include a new building, new ways to interact with friends during Valley Visits, even more Disney Parks magic, and much more. Plus there are a new wave of bug fixes and optimizations.

Nintendo shared new data today revealing the top 20 best-selling games on the Japanese Switch eShop for April 2024.

Suika Game is back to dominating at the #1 spot. Bunny Garden, which was a new release, follows in second. The only other brand new title is Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, which comes in at #17.

Today, Hamster announced that Rastan Saga will be its latest Arcade Archives game on Switch. It will be available worldwide tomorrow, May 2.

An action game released by Taito in 1987, in the game the player controls the titular character Rastan, a thief whose goal is to defeat a dragon rampaging through the country. Along the way you’ll be able to pick up a variety of weapons and armour to improve your chances.

Arcade Archives Rastan Saga will be sold digitally via the Switch eShop. Pricing is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

April 16: A release date has now come in for Athenian Rhapsody, a comedic RPG. Top Hat Studios and Nico Papalia will be bringing it out on May 14, 2024.

Athenian Rhapsody was first announced for Switch last June. The original plan was a 2023 launch, but it seems that more time was needed for development.

Another Crab's Treasure sales

Over on social media, Aggro Crab shared a sales milestone for Another Crab’s Treasure. The launch has managed to reach 100,000 copies sold worldwide.

That feat was accomplished in under four days. Note that the figure is based on sales across all platforms.

Star Wars Hunters release date

Star Wars: Hunters finally has a release date. Today, Zynga announced that the game launches on June 4, 2024.

Star Wars Hunters was announced during a Nintendo Direct way back in 2021. While it was originally planned for that year, it ended up receiving a lengthy delay. Now it’ll finally be available in just over a month.

Hotel Hustle

Today, RedDeerGames announced that it will release Hotel Hustle on Switch next week. It’s on track for May 10, 2024.

Coming from the team behind Freaky Trip, Hotel Hustle tasks players with creating the ultimate hotel where they’ll act as a mixture of the receptionist, the cleaner, and a food delivery person. It features couch multiplayer, loud guests, and hotel mishaps.

The Land Beneath Us release date

A final release date has come in for The Land Beneath Us, a turn-based roguelite dungeon crawler. It’ll be out on May 13, 2024.

The Land Beneath Us was first made known for Switch at the very end of 2023. We knew it was coming sometime this year, but that was all we had to go on.

Here’s an overview of the game:

April 22: Ratalaika Games have announced that they will be bringing Cyber Citizen Shockman 3: The Princess from Another World, the third instalment in the action platformer series, to Switch next month. Those interested will be able to pick up digitally via the eShop on May 2. The previous two entries in the series, Cyber Citizen Shockman and Cyber Citizen Shockman 2: A New Menace, were previously released by the company.
