Story of Seasons has had a series of ups and downs as the franchise has tried to find its footing in a genre it once had a monopoly on. It’s true that each new title has offered an exciting prospect of things to come within the series itself. It’s also always seemed to go against the idea of being a market leader once more in favor of keeping things traditional, but much that stubborn thinking may be to its detriment. This rears its head in the series’ new remake, Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

Pecaminosa: A Deadly Hand

Publisher 2Awesome Studio and developer Cereal Games today announced Pecaminosa: A Deadly Hand, a reedition of the police action ARPG currently available on Switch. It’s launching sometime this summer.

This new version will contain the original game plus its La SoirĂ©e DLC. The new content is comprised of an epilogue chapter that offers closure to a few unfinished mysteries from the original ending.

Paleo Pines release date

Original (6/10): Modus Games and Italic Pig have provided a release date for Paleo Pines, their dino ranch-builder. On Switch, it’ll be launching on September 26, 2023.

Paleo Pines was confirmed for Switch back in April. We originally had a more vague fall release window.

Tricks Magician

Ratalaika Games will be publishing yet another Switch game this week, with the company announcing Tricks Magician for the platform. It’s slated for this Friday, June 23.

Tricks Magician is a puzzle platformer with challenging levels, and players need to use tricks to make enemies disappear while trying to escape from a strange reality. More information can be found in the following overview:

A Good Day

Cerbere Games today confirmed that A Good Day, its Nintendo Land-inspired project, is in development for Switch. It will be available in Q3 2023.

A Good Day is an asymmetrical multiplayer title in which you play as the village teens as they “borrow” the Crosbys’ property as a team, or as Mr. or Mrs. Crosby and teach those teens a lesson. Further information can be found in the following overview:

Mr. Run and Jump release date

Atari, along with Graphite Lab and Heavy Horse Games, today shared a final release date for Mr. Run and Jump. The game is due out for Switch on July 25, 2023.

Mr. Run and Jump, a new take on neo-retro adventure-platforming, was announced for Switch last month. A general 2023 launch window was initially given.

Stellar Wanderer DX

Today, publisher Leoful and developer Dream Builder Studios announced Stellar Wanderer DX for Switch. The title is due out in 2024.

Stellar Wanderer DX is an old-school space combat simulation game that takes place in a vast open-world universe, inspired by games such as Freelancer. The game features four classes with a unique special ability and bonuses, fights with enemy factions, mining, ship customization, and more. The “DX” part comes into play with many improvements to its space systems, visuals, and gameplay.

Beat 'Em Up Archives gameplay

Following the release of Beat ‘Em Up Archives on Switch, new gameplay has emerged. The package includes Iron Commando and Legend.

Temtem update 1.4.0

Temtem just received its latest update, with the game moving up to version 1.4.0.

Season 4, dubbed “Splash Up!”, has now kicked off. Players now have easier access to competitive play and better Dojo Wars, a ton of balance changes have been implemented, and more. Note that the next season will be entirely PvE-centered.

Arcade Archives Splatterhouse

Hamster is putting Splatterhouse on Switch as the latest Arcade Archives game, the company just announced. A release is planned for June 22, 2023.

Splatterhouse, which was made by Namco, is a beat ’em up title. It first came out in Japan in 1988 with the western release happening a year later.
