Solomon Program

This month’s issue of CoroCoro provides a release date for Solomon Program, Konami’s strategy RPG for Switch. It’ll be available in Japan starting on February 25. Konami will be offering the title digitally in free-to-play form.

Switch already has two Choices That Matter games in the forms of And The Sun Went Out and And Their Souls Were Eaten. A third entry in the series, And Their Heroes Were Lost, is out today.

Thunder Cross is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Switch, Hamster has announced. A worldwide release is planned for February 11.

Konami was behind Thunder Cross, which first came to arcades in 1988. It’s a shoot ’em up with a total of seven stages.

Pricing for Arcade Archives Thunder Cross is set at $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29.

Coral Island has achieved huge success on Kickstarter. It was funded in less than 36 hours, with the total currently at around $350,000 and quickly rising. A Switch stretch goal has also been unlocked in the process.

Coral Island is described as “a re-imagined farm sim game inspired by classics.” We have more information about the project plus a trailer below.

Although Summer Catchers isn’t out on the Switch eShop quite yet, a demo for the game did go live. Check out some footage in the video below.

Crown Trick

Fans of the animated rogue-like RPG adventure game Crown Trick will be happy to hear that more content is in store. The team is currently wrapping up free DLC for the game.

The DLC will be highlighted by an endless mode, which will feature “a new type of currency, and you can spend it on improving some of your skills, which can also help you go deeper into the dungeon.” It will also include

As we typically see with the Nintendo Switch Online NES and SNES releases, the latest updates will be different for the west and Japan.

All regions will be getting Pyscho Dream. But Japan’s lineup includes Shin Megami Tensei II, in addition to Mario’s Picross (already out overseas) and Solomon’s Key 2.

Super Mario Bros. 35 players can look forward to another Special Battle event this week. It’s another Coin King Special Battle in which players will be taking on all courses from 1-1 all the way through 8-4.

This week’s Special Battle event begins on February 12. It’ll last until February 15.

Today, Nintendo revealed the next batch of classic games for Nintendo Switch Online. There will be three new SNES titles in addition to a new NES release.

It Takes Two

Hazelight Studios boss Josef Fares has all but ruled out a Switch version of its upcoming co-op adventure title It Takes Two. Fares told GamingBolt that he’s unsure if it would even be possible “because there’s so much going on” in the game.
