Wii U

Capcom is continuing to highlight some of the different elements from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate. The latest update kicks off a look at different weapons in the game.

Light Bowgun screenshots and details are posted below, straight from Capcom-Unity.

In addition to games, tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct will focus on new services for Wii U. Might the console’s upcoming Virtual Console be shown?

The source code of Nintendo UK website references the Wii U VC. Its inclusion is notable as the code was updated with the VC bit less than two weeks ago.

Of course, this could mean nothing at all. The Wii U VC is coming – it’s just a matter of when Nintendo will have some news to share about the service.

Update 2: Bumped to the front page. Nintendo of America has confirmed a presentation as well for 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET. You’ll be able to watch it here.

Update: Aaaaand Nintendo’s Japanese Twitter account has confirmed a presentation as well. News regarding the company’s first-party lineup and services will be detailed. The official Japanese page calls this one a “Wii U Direct: Nintendo Games” broadcast.

A new, dedicated Wii U Nintendo Direct is imminent. Satoru Iwata will be hosting a presentation tomorrow to announce new games for the platform. Maybe we’ll hear about something from Capcom?

Thus far, the Nintendo Direct has only been confirmed for Europe. The broadcast will take place at 2 PM GMT tomorrow.

Nintendo of America/Japan may follow up with announcements of their own. If and/or when that happens, we’ll be sure to update this post.

We’ll just call this game Resident Evil: Revelations… it’ll easier to distinguish it from the 3DS version.

Resident Evil: Revelations is indeed coming to consoles. After weeks of speculation, Capcom has confirmed the title for Wii U, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. The new version launches on May 21 in North America and May 24 in Europe. Digital versions of Revelations’ HD port are planned.

Capcom is bringing extra content to the new version of Revelations. In addition to HD visuals, it will feature “a terrifying new enemy, extra difficulty mode and improvements to Raid Mode such as new weapons, skill sets and the opportunity to play as Hunk and other characters from the series.”

Revelations will cost $49.99 / €49.99 on consoles. The PC version will be available for $39.99 / €39.99.

LEGO City: Undercover is a big game. It features a large overworld that is probably bigger than the one included in LEGO Batman 2.

According to executive producer Loz Doyle, it will take players ten minutes just to drive a loop around Undercover’s city. The world is also made up of side roads, a ground level city, and more.

“It would take 10 minutes just to drive a loop of the city. That doesn’t even include exploring all the side roads and other regions. Not only is there the ground level city to explore but you can also get up on the rooftops where there is a whole load of additional gameplay.”
