We received some good news and some bad news concerning Monster Hunter 3 today.

The good news: Capcom finally nailed down a release date for Ultimate and confirmed voice chat (plus reconfirmed USB keyboard support) for the Wii U version.

Here’s the bad news: Monster Hunter Tri’s servers will be switched off on April 30. That date is set six weeks after the launch of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U and 3DS. You’ll be able to game local multiplayer if you purchase the 3DS title, but online is restricted to the Wii U version.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is due out on March 19 in North America. In Europe, the game launches on March 22. Nintendo will be handling publishing duties throughout the continent.

You’ve probably heard of Headstrong Games. The studio has worked on Battalion Wars, The House of the Dead: Overkill, Art Academy, Rabbids Rumble, and plenty of other titles.

Headstrong doesn’t have any confirmed games in the works for Wii U, but it is definitely involved with the console. Associate producer Jo Tunstill lists an unannounced project for the console on her LinkedIn profile.

Will it be a Nintendo-published game? The two companies have shared a fairly close relationship in the past. Or is this a third-party effort?

Some of you may have missed this news among the numerous release date confirmations included in Nintendo’s press release today.

Next month, Nintendo will be releasing its own Wii U accessory set. A Wii U GamePad screen protector and extra-large stylus will be included. The product will be available for $12.99 starting on February 4.

Ubisoft has launched two Assassin’s Creed DLC packs for Wii U. Players can now purchase The Hidden Secrets and The Battle Hardened content. The two packs are priced at $4.99 and $9.99 respectively.

A rundown of each item can be found below.

Aliens: Colonial Marines has gone gold. Let me clarify that actually – development is finished on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Now what about the Wii U version?

SEGA is saying that Colonial Marines is on track for the Wii U’s launch window. That ends on March 31, but we still don’t have a final date. Hopefully we’ll receive a final date soon.
