Best Buy Canada and Future Shop are both listing Splinter Cell: Blacklist for Wii U.
Before Ubisoft announced the game earlier this week, Blacklist was rumored for Nintendo’s new console. The official announcement, however, only made mention of PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC versions.
A Wii U edition wouldn’t be completely out of the question as Ubisoft is committing a huge amount of support for the console. But if we’ve learned one thing from retailer listings, it’s that they shouldn’t always be taken at face value.

The Seattle Times has gone live with a new interview with Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America executive vice president of sales and marketing.
Topics include the Wii U release date/price and a hint that there could be more games announced for the console’s “launch period”. Moffitt specifically said there will be “even more games will be coming during the launch period so if there’s a favorite game that gamers like, I think there’s a good chance it will be coming to the platform.” This was in reference to Wii U lacking games such as Call of Duty and Battlefield.

Rumor: Wii U CPU comparable to PS3/360, GPU stronger

Even though E3 2012 has passed by, specific Wii U specs have not been made available. That means the power speculation surrounding the console can continue.
Rumor has it that the Wii U’s CPU is similar to that of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, though its GPU is supposedly 1.5 times stronger or so. Insidegamer claims to have received this knowledge from a Ubisoft staffer.
Assassin’s Creed III on Wii U is apparently looking worse than its PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 counterparts due to fewer details and a lower frame rate. However, Ubisoft says any issues should be ironed out before launch as they become more familiar with the hardware.
