Wii U

Bandai Namco has issued an official response regarding Project CARS’ delay on Wii U.

We learned earlier today that the racer won’t be arriving on Nintendo’s console until 2015. The PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions are still due out in November of this year.

Bandai Namco’s statement reads:

Yuichiro Takeda, one of the major writers on Xenoblade, has re-tweeted the Japanese announcement about the Super Smash Bros. character reveal coming on Monday. Perhaps it’s a sign that Shulk will be revealed as the latest roster addition? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Nintendo will make the next character for Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS known on Monday. The announcement is set for 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT.

Masahiro Sakurai has posted a Miiverse message that covers Monday’s Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS character reveal.

According to Sakurai, the announcement will be streamed live. He also mentioned, “Looks like we’re nearing the bottom of the stash of new challenger videos that we’ve made.”

Project CARS will be available this November on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said of the Wii U version.

Publisher Bandai Namco confirmed on Twitter today that Project CARS is launching on Nintendo’s console in 2015. The company did not explain why this is so.
