Pandora’s Tower details (love sim elements)
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
– Love sim style elements in the game that affect the relationship between Ende and Cerees
– Vertical meter: representation of the strength of the relationship between Ende and Ceres
– The Oreichalkos Chain that Ende uses gives him the ability to physically see his connection with Ceres
– Increase the relationship gauge by talking with Ceres and giving her gifts
– Can give Ceres items such as a rainbow colored bracelet and carrots
– Also can make sure Ceres likes you by making sure she doesn’t turn into a beast
– Keep track of Ceres’ beast level in the towers
– This allows you to know when you may need to leave a tower and head back to the observation tower where she rests

Prepare to boogie down in Ubisoft’s new video game, The Smurfs Dance Party

SAN FRANCISCO – May 17, 2011 – Ubisoft has announced details for The Smurfs™ Dance Party, a new dance video game based on Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation’s 3D family comedy, The Smurfs. Developed for the Wii™ system, The Smurfs Dance Party mixes chart-topping tracks with classic tunes in over 20 fun dances, all created by professional choreographers and led by the legendary blue characters. The Smurfs Dance Party hits stores in July.

SEGA explains why Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games doesn’t have online play
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
This information comes from Nobuya Ohashi…
“We’ve done the research through online questionnaires and focus testing to see the demand for online multiplayer and we actually found out that there’s not much demand for online multiplayer from the fans of this series. At the same time, not many people have the infrastructure or the facility that’s required for online multiplayer so that’s one thing. The other thing is some of the events are quite short. An event like the 100 metres only lasts ten seconds or 20 seconds maximum so would you really go through all the trouble of connecting with your friends on the other side of the world for ten or 20 seconds?”
I don’t think a ton of hardcore gamers are purchasing the Mario and Sonic Olympic titles, so perhaps Ohashi does have a point. On the bright side, the game will have online leaderboards.
