A-Train: All Aboard Tourism Nintendo Switch 2 Edition

Artdink is working on A-Train: All Aboard Tourism Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, the company announced today. A release is planned for December 18, 2025 in Japan. It’s unclear if there’ll be a western launch, but the title did previously head overseas on Nintendo Switch.

A-Train: All Aboard Tourism Nintendo Switch 2 Edition features several improvements and additions. It comes with a new mode that allows you to use more rail cars, automobiles, and vehicle blueprints than usual, two new scenarios, mouse controls, and auto-save. There’ll also be improved graphics and an enhanced frame rate.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is collaborating with some pretty big IPs for its guest characters, but one criticism fans have had is the lack of voices. Because of this, you won’t hear the likes of SpongeBob, Steve from Minecraft, and Pac-Man talking in the game. SEGA has now spoken about the decision.

Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka spoke about this in an interview with Destructoid. It seems that if guest characters were to be voiced in Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, it would have increased the “scop of review” for external companies.

Iizuka said in the interview:

Arco physical

Arco has been on Nintendo Switch for a bit now as a digital download, but Lost in Cult has now announced plans for a physical release.

The Mesoamerican fantasy-RPG will be sold standalone, but there’ll also be a special “Editions” release. The latter, limited to 3,000 copies, includes an essay and developer interview booklet (40 pages) by Chris Tapsell, original outer slipcase artwork by Alariko, variant Nintendo Switch game case cover with reverse artwork by Alariko, poster artwork by Antoine Maillard, a color-thematic inner slipcase with release number code, fold-out unique artwork poster with checklist and artist description on the back, four art cards chosen from the developer with captions, and director’s authenticity card (individually numbered).

Yooka-Replaylee Switch 2

Original: It’s now been made official that Yooka-Replaylee is coming to Nintendo Switch 2.

Previously, when discussing the game, Playtonic simply said it was planned for Nintendo platforms. Nintendo Switch 2 seemed like a surefire bet at the time, but now we know that it’s happening.

The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending August 23, 2025 is now available.

It’s a good week for Nintendo with two Switch 2 exclusive leading the way. Mario Kart World maintains its lead from last week, but right behind is Donkey Kong Bananza, which moves up a spot.

Hitman World of Assassination update

IO Interactive has come out with the first notable update for Hitman World of Assassination on Nintendo Switch 2.

A number of notable fixes are included, such as loading auto save files resulting in the title crashing, brightness issues, performance issues around large mirrors, and quality-of-life issues. A notable addition is the “Frame Rate” option to help stabilize performance, locking the action at 30 FPS.

The full rundown is as follows:

We’re a few months behind the launch of Nintendo Switch 2, but apparently getting development kits hasn’t gotten any easier.

Digital Foundry shared its latest findings following Gamescom 2025 last week. The outlet’s John Linneman, after speaking with various developers, has heard that Nintendo is encouraging teams to simply ship their games on Switch 1 and “rely on backwards compatibility.” The interest from teams is there, but access to development kits are still limited. The reasoning for that isn’t clear – only Nintendo would have the answer.

Nintendo Switch 2 game-key cards are back in the news as they’ve essentially been denied entry into the National Diet Library.

Otherwise known as the NDL, this is Japan’s national library. However, due to the nature of this specific physical media, game-key cards cannot be accepted for preservation.

Koei Tecmo TGS 2025 lineup

Koei Tecmo just unveiled its lineup for the 2025 Tokyo Game Show, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will be playable for the first time.

The Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive is currently slated for this winter. Aside from a playable demo, we’re also expecting Koei Tecmo to share the latest news – which could include the release date. More details about the company’s plans for the expo will be shared at a later date.

Borderlands 4 won’t be out on Nintendo Switch 2 for another couple of months, but we now have first footage of the game. Just like we’ve seen from other third-party titles over the past few days, the video comes from a playable demo. This particular clip was filmed at Fan Expo in Canada.

The gameplay here is all docked, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see how Borderlands 4 looks in handheld mode. Note that everything is off-screen and not direct-feed.
