Marisa of Liartop Mountain

Today, publisher Alliance Arts and developer Unknown X revealed that they’re putting Marisa of Liartop Mountain on Nintendo Switch. The game is slated for September 19, 2025.

Marisa of Liartop Mountain is a Touhou Project tabletop-style RPG. The Nintendo Switch version was just confirmed during Indie Live Expo today.

Snow Bros. 2 Special trailer

A new launch trailer is available for Snow Bros. 2 Special, which hit Nintendo Switch this week. This is a remake of of Toaplan’s game with updated visuals, new features, and more.

Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced

March 11: Today, Inti Creates unveiled Azure Striker Gunvolt Trilogy Enhanced for Nintendo Switch. This will launch on July 24, 2025.

The package includes Azure Striker Gunvolt, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, and Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 plus all DLC. According to Inti Creates, “the series director has renewed all three titles, polishing the action gameplay and updating the music.” Also, items that were offered separately such as voice drama CDs are now included in-game in Library Mode, making for the most complete “final version” of the trilogy.

Freedom Wars Remastered 1.7.0 update

Freedom Wars Remastered earned one of its more notable updates this week with the Nintendo Switch version now at version 1.7.0.

The team implemented many different adjustments across the board. Also unsurprisingly, a bunch of bugs have now been fixed.

Lunar Remastered Collection story

April 5: A new Lunar Remastered Collection trailer has dropped focusing on the story. There’s a good chunk of animated cutscenes here, but we do get to see some new footage as well.

Limited Run Games today announced a brand new physical release for Doom + Doom 2 on Nintendo Switch.

New versions of the classic shooters were released digitally on the console last year. This is what Limited Run Games’ latest boxed editions are based on.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny

February 13: Bandai Namco is bringing Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny Remastered to Nintendo Switch, the company just announced. The game launches on May 22, 2025.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Battle Destiny originally released in 2012 for the PS Vita, but only in Japan. That means the game is coming out in English for the first time, as well as its first appearance on a Nintendo platform.

Retro Studios cancelled Nintendo Switch game

April 7: A major Nintendo-related leak has surfaced which has brought along footage of cancelled Switch games, including Retro Studios’ unreleased title unofficially known as Project Harmony.

Nintendo Switch Online Streets of Rage, ESWAT: City Under Siege, Super Thunder Blade

Three more SEGA Genesis games just went live on Nintendo Switch Online with players now having access to Streets of Rage, ESWAT: City Under Siege, and Super Thunder Blade. All three can be accessed as part of the Expansion Pack tier.

Streets of Rage first came out in 1991. Super Thunder Blade is the earliest of the bunch having debuted in 1988 (1989 in the west) with ESWAT: City Under Siege seeing release in 1990.
