Two more games from the TurboGrafx-16 lineup are joining the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow. Nintendo’s website lists Final Soldier and Soldier Blade for release tomorrow.

We have the following overview of Final Soldier:

In the 23rd century, invaders from the future suddenly attack Earth. Controlling a fighter created by the world’s scientists, you rise to meet the enemy. Collect power-up units, such as LASER, E-BEAM, FIRE, and MISSILE, and then equip them in Options to launch a variety of attacks. For each of these weapons, you can freely select from three different types in SET-UP. Anticipate enemies’ strikes and deftly switch between weapons to defeat the invaders! In addition to NORMAL GAME, there are also 2 MINUTE GAME and 5 MINUTE GAME score-attack modes. The most perfect blend and balance of any game in the series, Final Soldier is a title you don’t want to miss.

Victory Run is due out on the European Wii U Virtual Console this week, according to a listing on Nintendo’s website. The page lists the game for release tomorrow.

Here’s an overview:

Victory Run is a racing game modelled on the Paris-Dakar Rally which ran from Paris, France, to Dakar in Senegal.

Experience an all-out, realistic rally race where you have to deal with vehicle damage, from engine failure to transmission breakdown. The scenery even changes depending on the time.

The exhilarating feeling of speed… Intense crash scenes… Keep it runnin’ right to the end of the unforgiving 13,000 km (8,077 miles) long-haul course!

In North America, Victory Run is already available. The game costs $5.99.

The Wii U Virtual Console has been going strong with TurboGrafx-16 games. Listings from the ESRB suggest that the releases will be continuing.

China Warrior, Shockman, Chew Man Fu, Double Dungeons, and Vigilante have all been rated for Wii U. No word on release dates yet, but they’ll likely be rolled out over the next few weeks. We’ll keep an eye on any listings that pop up on Nintendo’s website.

In our indie feature a few months ago, we asked Team Colorblind if Aztez would still be made for Wii U. We were told that releasing on the older system isn’t entirely off the table “if it seems like there’s still a market for it, and it isn’t a technical nightmare”.

Team Colorblind offered an update about the situation in a new blog post as well. Team Colorblind noted that the company is primarily authorized for Wii U currently, “but we’re going to try and pivot that into a Switch release instead.” Bringing Aztez to Switch rather than Wii U may make more sense at this point.
