Two new Virtual Console games are on track for the Japanese Wii U eShop next week. Romancing Saga 2 (Super Famicom) and Double Dragon (Famicom) will be out on January 22. Pricing is set at 800 yen and 500 yen respectively.

Unepic will launch in Europe on January 23, EnjoyUp Games announced today. It was previously given a January 16 release date in North America.

This month’s digital rewards on Club Nintendo have gone live. Members can choose from Game & Watch: Cement Factory (3DS, 100 coins), Spin Six (3DS, 150 coins), F-Zero (Wii U, 200 coins), and 1080 Snowboarding (Wii U, 200 coins). These items last through February 9.

NinjaBee originally hoped to have A World of Keflings out last year. That didn’t happen, but the studio is now targeting a late Q1 2014 launch for its Wii U eShop title.

Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham has shared his own perspective with regard to working on Wii U.

Although Watsham noted on Twitter that he’s not a programmer, he did say, “from what I gather the Wii U is not more difficult to develop for than other platforms.” Simple enough!
