Rex Rocket has a decent shot of landing on the Wii U or 3DS. The game’s developer launched a Kickstarter (accessible here), where it states that the team has hopes to “bring Rex Rocket to Macs, iOS Devices, XBLIG, Wii U, PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS and OUYA but we cannot guarantee them at this time.”

Atomhawk Design also has interest in working with the Wii U. Once its Kickstarter campaign for “The Realm” ends, it could look into a point-and-click adventure game for the platform.

If you have a Virtual Console game on your Wii U through Wii mode, you can repurchase it on the eShop at a significant discount. We’re now hearing that a similar program may be offered between Wii U VC and 3DS VC games.

According to a new article written by Emily Rogers, a VC game would need to have launched for both Wii U and 3DS in order to be eligible – as you would expect. Rogers also clarifies that not all titles would be included in the program.

When might we be hearing about this from Nintendo? Perhaps not at E3, but likely before year’s end.

Rogers has also reiterated rumors about a gifting feature for the Wii U eShop, which was first provided on the Wii Shop Channel. This element is coming not only due to requests from gamers, but indie developers as well.

All leaks related to Call of Duty: Ghosts thus far have not included Wii U. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions have continued to appear, but there hasn’t been any news about the shooter coming to Nintendo’s home console – until now.

Spanish retailer XtraLife has listed Call of Duty: Ghosts for Wii U. XtraLife mentions a November 11 release date and gives a look at Ghosts’ boxart:

Call of Duty: Ghosts is rumored to be announced in just a few days, so we may hear something official from Activision shortly.

A sequel to River City Ransom is on the way, courtesy of Combit Studios.

The NES game was produced by Techn?s Japan – a studio that closed well over a decade ago. While the original team won’t be working on the sequel, Combit Studios will be teaming up with Million, the company behind the GBA port of River City Ransom.

Combit Studios plans to begin a crowd-funding campaign sometime this summer. A release is planned for August 2014.

PC is the only confirmed platform for River City Ransom’s sequel currently, but additional platforms are “under consideration”. Perhaps we’ll see this one on the Wii U or 3DS next year then.
