Capcom’s Monster Hunter spinoff series, Monster Hunter Diary, has been around for a couple of years now. A trio of games have been released since 2010.
Now it looks like Capcom is looking to take Monster Hunter Diary in a different direction. A trademark for Monster Hunter Diary: Puri Puri Poogie Race was spotted in the Japanese database, hinting that the Poogie racing aspect from Monster Hunter Diary: Poka Poka Felyne Village will be turned into its own title.
Surprisingly, Animal Crossing: New Leaf is the first 3DS game to reach 2 million units sold in Japan. The game has beaten out the likes of Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, and Monster Hunter.
That’s quite a milestone, isn’t it? It’s even more amazing when you consider how Nintendo wasn’t able to keep up with demand for awhile and New Leaf was experiencing constant sell-outs.
Famitsu provided a first look at Shin Megami Tensei IV’s new character Black Samurai this week. Along with Black Samurai – described by the magazine as a mysterious character dressed in a black Demonica suit – Tayama and Kaga were introduced. Information about these two have not leaked out just yet.
Atsuko Tanaka, the voice behind Ultimecia in Dissidia: Final Fantasy, plays the Black Samurai. Houchu Ohtsuka and Kaga are voiced by Houchu Ohtsuka and Kaoru Sasajima respectively.
Best Buy is currently offering Nintendo Land with the purchase of the Wii U Basic Set. Of course, the game comes bundled in with the Premium Set. But if the Premium Set isn’t your thing, Best Buy’s deal isn’t too shabby.

Fluidity: Spin Cycle will be one of the more expensive downloadable titles on the 3DS eShop. According to the game’s official site (which for some reason is now inaccessible update: back up now…)), it will cost $10.99. The original Fluidity on WiiWare can be downloaded for 1,200 points.
Spin Cycle hits the North American 3DS eShop this Thursday. It came out on in Europe on December 13.
