Super Robot Wars UX is in development for the 3DS, Square Enix has revealed. The announcement was posted in this week’s issue of Famitsu.

The following information has been transcribed from the magazine thus far:

– First titles (possibly mecha) to appear in a Super Robot Wars game include: Demonbane, Soukyuu no Fafnir Heaven and Earth, Rinne no Tsubasa, Virtua-On series Fei Yen HD, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the movie: A Wakening of the Trailblazer, SD Gundam Sangokushi BraveBattleWarriors, Mazinkaiser SKL, and Heroman.
– Special 3DS bundle also planned for Super Robot Wars UX
– Campaign maps not featured in this title, and Tsumesupa with chess-like, specific rules will be available to download. These will be available as pre-order bonuses.

Super Robot Wars UX will be released in Japan on March 14 for 7,140 yen.

Monster Hunter 4’s second brand new weapon has been revealed, likely in the pages of this week’s Famitsu.

Players can look forward to wielding a Charge Axe in the game. Once it’s split in two, hunters can perform continuous swift attacks and block with a shield. The weapon can also be charged – the hilt glows yellow when at its peak.

Charge Axe’s other capability is a standard axe mode. This offers a long reach, higher power, and can release elemental attacks.

007 Legends Wii U shipped to stores today. Where’s there to look forward to if you already have the game on a different platform?

According to Activision, the Wii U version features mini-games of sorts, exclusive outfits in multiplayer, and more.

Here’s the full rundown:

  • Mini-games and more – players can utilize the Wii U GamePad to “control the hand of Bond” in order to manipulate the world in a more tactile way, such as hacking into safes, flipping switches, and more.
  • Spy Gadgets – fans will have quicker access to Bond’s gadgets with a simple tap of the GamePad touchscreen.
  • Nostalgic Multiplayer – 007 Legends will feature unique split-screen multiplayer game modes and character outfits that are exclusive to the Wii U version of the game.

I’ll admit, I’ve never thought about buying a skin for a console. Never even a handheld! This time, however, I’m giving it some serious consideration, because the $20 retro-feel Wii U skin from DecalGirl looks so awesome in this picture, AND it would prevent me from finger-printing the heck out of my Wii U…

I actually saw this on reddit a couple of days ago, but didn’t think it was news-worthy for our great website. Apparently, IGN has not such high standards.

I kid, of course. This is serious business, because the ultra-hard sequel to the ultra-tough game Dark Souls was announced just a few days ago for PS3, PC, and 360– but not for Wii U. Apparently a group of gamers is pretty frustrated by this, so they’ve started an online petition to try and get Namco Bandai to reconsider. Currently there are about 6,000 people who have pledged support, and while I’m not sure that’s quite enough to get the game released (try 100,000… or more!), it’s a start. If you would buy Dark Souls II on Wii U, add your name to the petition:
