Nintendo succeeded by pulling in people who weren’t gamers and their needs now are no longer being filled by Nintendo, they are happy playing games on their mobile phones. Today’s announcements were disappointing relative to what the market was hoping for. The new Mario titles and the additional movie-camera function aren’t enough for the company to meet its targets during the Christmas shopping season.”

Following Nintendo’s 3DS Conference, Nintendo’s shares fell by 5 percent according to Reuters. Some analysts have said that the 3DS will not attain the 16 million units sales target set earlier this year.
