I just wanted to pop in to remind everyone that tonight’s game night will be at 7PM CST (8PM EST, 5PM PST), and that we will be playing The Conduit. There’s one slight change, however, from how last week worked: You do not have to send me your friend code/tell me you’re playing before the game night starts. When we post up the IRC, I’ll have friend codes of everyone who has signed up posted along with it, and I’ll edit it as time goes on. All you have to do is show up when you want to play, and shoot me your friend code via the IRC! Additionally, you really only have to add my/Valay’s friend code because of The Conduit’s nifty “Friend of a friend” feature. This will allow you to play/talk with everyone in the match, even if you aren’t friends with them.

What you should do right now:

Add my friend code for The Conduit, to be sure that you’ll at least be able to get into the match if for some reason you can’t add others’.

While the delays of Metroid: Other M and Sin and Punishment: Star Successor dominated the news yesterday, there were a few important tidbits of information buried in Nintendo’s latest press release. First, in case you missed it, Nintendo shared dates for a number of WiiWare/DSiWare titles. You can check out the release right here. Nintendo also announced that Photo Dojo will be free to all users for one month when it becomes available on DSiWare. Last but not least, Nintendo revealed that Rittai Kakushi e Attakoreda is coming stateside. The title, which is a “unique take on hidden picture games” was released in Japan not too long ago. DSi owners can expect the game to be released on June 14th.

“The launch date for Metroid: Other M has shifted to Aug. 31. As you may know, this game is the product of a unique partnership between longtime Metroid producer Yoshio Sakamoto, Team Ninja and many other individuals and groups, all of whom have set very high standards for this latest installment in the series. Although it’s taking slightly longer than expected to complete the project, we’re confident that fans will find it to be well worth the wait. We’re striving to provide the best possible pacing for our summer game launches. A June 27 launch allows gamers to enjoy Sin & Punishment: Star Successor without having to rush through Super Mario Galaxy 2 (May 23).” – Nintendo statement

These reasons make quite a bit of sense. But I’m sure that Other M contributed somewhat to the delay of Sin and Punishment: Star Successor. Since Other M will now ship at the end of August, Star Successor makes up for Metroid’s absence.
