Remember when video games used to be fun and challenging? Tired of spending your hard-earned money on glorified tech demos that spit a billion polygons at you in full HD, but fail to make you smile? Or are you just looking for a great multiplayer game? Whatever your reasons, you’re in for a treat. And that treat is called Rush Rush Rally Racing! The beloved Sega Dreamcast Indie Game is now coming to Nintendo WiiWare! Grab your friends again, because the three multiplayer modes make this is an awesome retro racer for up to four players.
With two new single player modes, redesigned menus and many other improvements such as GameCube and Classic Controller support, it’s better than ever before!

When the BlazBlue spin-off, BlayzBloo: Super Melee Brawlers Battle Royale came to DSiWare, I thought we were done with crazy long names for DSiWare games that do everything but roll off the tongue. Apparently I was wrong, because there is now a Guilty Gear spin-off on its way out that’s entitled “Arc Style: Furo Jump!! Guilty Gear Gaiden!?”. Sure, this may be the Japanese name as of now, but that’s what most of us were saying about Blayzbloo.
Another weird thing about this spin-off is that it’s not even a fighting game like its mainstream counterpart; it’s actually a side-scrolling game. Check out the screens in this post, and look out for the trailer in a minute when I get it up.

Cambridge, Mass. – Aug. 25, 2010 – Harmonix, the world’s premier music video game developer and MTV Games, a part of Viacom’s MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), today confirmed the entire 83 song on-disc soundtrack for the highly anticipated Rock BandTM3 music video game, including new tracks from Jimi Hendrix, Avenged Sevenfold, Paramore, The White Stripes, Jane’s Addiction, Phish, Anthrax, The Cure, Bob Marley, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne, Dire Straits, The Smiths, Foreigner, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doors and many more. Rock Band 3 will be released Oct. 26 in North America and Oct. 29 in the rest of the world for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Nintendo WiiTM and Nintendo DSTM.

“I’m as excited about that device as I was at E3. If anything, I’m even more excited. True 3D with no glasses, great visual quality, adjustable so every human can see 3D—c’mon, it’s a fantastic little thing. I go on Amazon pretty much every day just to see if they’re taking preorders yet. The day they do, I’m clicking “buy.” I love the thing. I think it’s great.
…The coolest thing about the 3DS and about stereoscopic 3D without glasses is that I have no idea what I would do. I would never say that game development is a solved problem. With movies, the position of the sprocket wheels hasn’t changed for 100 years, right? Making movies is a solved problem; it’s just about creating compelling content. Game design and development is not yet a solved problem, but it’s pretty close. I pretty well know how to start, what kinds of games I want to make, kind of how to make them, and how long it takes, and what sort of people you need. And then I think about what impact is stereoscopic 3D going to have on what I do for a living, and I go, ‘No idea.’
So the coolest thing to me is that all of a sudden there’s a new kind of challenge that I have no idea about. Any developer who’s saying, ‘Oh yeah, I’m working on a 3DS title and I know how to do it—I’m making a flight sim where it looks like you’re really flying,’ it’s like, OK, you haven’t thought hard enough. There’s more that we can do with the 3DS than just saying, ‘Oh look, there’s a crate between me and my target.’ There’s got to be. But what it is, I have no idea—and that’s exactly why I would love to just have six months, a year to just play with the 3DS and see just what the heck it does afford you and how it does change game design.”
Well, I have a suggestion for Mr. Spector: Duck Tales for the 3DS. He certainly sounds like he’d be open to making a new Duck Tales and there is interest from fans. So it seems like a good idea to me!
