Dark Horse and Nintendo have had a close relationship in recent years. The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts, The Art of Fire Emblem Awakening, and The Art of Splatoon have all been released in North America thanks to the partnership.

Today, Dark Horse announced a new publishing partnership for ARMS that will turn the Switch game into graphic novels. The first one will debut in Fall 2018.

Further details were not shared. Since the graphic novels are about a year away, it’ll likely be awhile until we hear more.

Update: Full patch notes added below. Nintendo also fixed a couple of issues and made adjustments to fighters and ARMS.

Original: ARMS already received a big update this month in the form of the Lola Pop patch, adding the new character and more. Just a couple of weeks later, another patch has been issued. Players can download version 3.1.0.

One thing we’ve noticed is that the Sparring Ring has been added in as a fully playable stage, and can be selected in Ranked Match. We’re waiting on the full patch notes, and we’ll add them in here when they’re live.

Nintendo is readying another new update for ARMS. All signs point to it being available tomorrow in Japan, which should be the evening of September 28 (today) in North America.

Nintendo is being pretty darn cryptic about the update, but we’re not expecting it to be as big as the 3.0 patch. Still, it sounds like a stage is involved here. Nintendo basically said “that stage” for matches will be open to the public.

We’ll keep an eye out for additional details as they’re made available.
